It is particularly effective for a low-frequency vibration, which is physically generated when pressing the shutter button or when shooting at night with a slow shutter speed. This greatly improves the quality of shots taken at night or indoors where flash cannot be used, or where the photographer doesn’t want to use flash because it would spoil the mood.
Featuring high mobility, the LUMIX G X VARIO 12-35mm/F2.8 ASPH./POWER O.I.S. offers a versatile zoom range of 12-35 mm (35 mm camera equiv.: 24-70 mm) and F2.8 brightness throughout the entire zoom range. This lens is suitable for wide variety of occasions from daily snapshots including sceneries like sunsets or dimly lit indoor shots to the deliberate creative shots.
The Nano Surface Coating technology dramatically minimizes light reflection at entire visual light range (380nm-780nm) by applying the extra-low refractive index coating with nano-sized structure on the surface of the lens. It results in the super clear images with dramatic reduction of ghost and flare.
The LUMIX G X VARIO 12-35mm/F2.8 ASPH./POWER O.I.S. is recommended for shooting videos. In addition to its ability to use the auto focus in recording videos, a silent design that suppresses lens drive noise records sounds with greater clarity.
