Featuring Aputure’s revolutionary BLAIR™ LED chipset (Blue, Lime, Amber, Indigo, Red), the STORM 1200x delivers exceptional colour accuracy, superior white light quality, and outstanding brightness across an ultra-wide colour temperature range of 2,500K to 10,000K.

Unlike traditional bi-colour LED fixtures, the innovative BLAIR light engine enables all diodes to contribute to white light output, resulting in a brighter, more natural-looking beam with enhanced spectral quality. The addition of an Indigo emitter improves the rendering of fluorescent materials, helping footage more closely match natural daylight and tungsten lighting conditions.

Producing up to 24,000 lux at 3m (5600K) with the included Hyper Reflector, the STORM 1200x offers performance comparable to a 1,800W HMI, while maintaining outstanding colour metrics, including CRI 95+, TLCI 95+, and SSI 87 at both daylight and tungsten settings.

Built for demanding production environments, the STORM 1200x features an IP65-rated weather-resistant design, allowing reliable operation in rain, dust, and challenging outdoor conditions. Its advanced dimming system provides smooth, flicker-free illumination from 0.1% to 100%, giving filmmakers precise control over light intensity without colour shift.

The fixture is equipped with Aputure’s new ProLock Bowens Mount, a reinforced locking system that securely supports heavy modifiers while ensuring perfect optical alignment. Whether you’re using softboxes, Fresnels, lanterns, or reflectors, the STORM 1200x integrates seamlessly into existing Bowens-mount lighting setups.

Delivery

Please note that for next-day delivery, the product must be marked as in stock and the order placed before the daily cut-off time. If an item is not in stock, an estimated lead time will typically be displayed.

Collection
 Free Collection is available at our showroom in Hampton, please select this option at the payment stage at the checkout. Please allow one hour to pick and prepare your order for you so it is ready for you when you arrive. Collections must be made at our office during the hours of 9 am to 5:30 pm (Mon to Thurs) and 9 am to 5 pm (Friday).

Next Working Day Delivery
UK mainland orders placed before 2 pm will be dispatched the same day for next-day delivery. To qualify for next-day delivery orders must be placed before 2 pm Mon – Thur. Orders placed after 2 pm Thursday will be dispatched Friday for Monday delivery, excluding Bank Holidays. The charge for this service is £12.00 Ex. VAT.
