Shape Camera Cage Base Kit for Sony FX5 (FX5PNR) is precisely engineered to protect and expand the functionality of the Sony FX5 camera. The camera is securely mounted to the cage using a 1/4-20 screw, ensuring a rigid and reliable connection suitable for professional productions.

The cage offers a versatile array of 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 threaded holes with anti-twist ARRI-style locating patterns, providing multiple options for mounting accessories such as external monitors, magic arms, or wireless systems. A NATO rail side design enables quick, tool-free attachment of compatible side handles, clamps, or other NATO-mounted accessories for efficient on-set customization.

A built-in cold shoe receiver on top allows convenient mounting of microphones, wireless receivers, or compact lights, while the integrated HDMI lock system ensures a secure and stable cable connection, preventing accidental signal loss during shooting.

At the base, the cage incorporates an ARCA Swiss quick-release plate, enabling seamless transitions between gimbal, tripod, and handheld configurations without the need for additional plates or adapters. By installing the ARCA Swiss plate on the right side of the cage, the cage can be combined to its baseplate in a 9×16 shooting setup format.

The cage’s intelligent design maintains full access to all essential camera controls, input/output ports, memory card slot, and battery compartment. All original functions, including the top handle and accessory ports, remain fully usable while the camera is mounted inside the cage.

Shape Creator Top Handle with NATO Clamp

Designed to fit NATO rail systems, this new ergonomic Top handle design allows a firm grip as well as attachment options given its 1/4-20 & 3/8-16 threaded holes including an anti-twist ARRI pattern on top of the handle.  A Push-release system is part of the design to allow accessory attachment in the front cold shoe. A 15mm rod clamp at the front, allowing accessory attachment like monitors and microphone systems. The handle includes a padded rubber part providing a very comfortable anti-slip hold.

Shape Universal Wooden Pivoting Side Handgrip NATO Clamp with ARRI Rosette

Shape’s Universal Wooden Pivoting Side Handgrip with NATO Clamp with ARRI Rosette can be clamped on NATO cage sides and secured with its ratchet knob. The wooden handgrip is attached to the NATO clamp via an M6 screw, to marry both ARRI rosettes. The handgrip features a cold shoe and a series of 1/4-20 threaded holes for accessory attachment.  The included allen key at the bottom will allow height adjustments for different configurations. It can also be installed on the right as its bracket is reversible. This bundle is made of wood and CNC machined aluminum.
