The 17-55mm zoom range delivers outstanding flexibility, producing high-quality images for landscape, portrait and travel photography. The f/2.8 aperture remains constant throughout the full focal length range, so you can zoom without slowing the shutter speed. With fast focusing in Ultra-Sonic motor (USM) technology you can roam city streets and expansive scenery, capturing subjects without interruption. The 3-stop optical Image Stabilizer and wide aperture reduces camera shake, enabling hand-held photography in low-light conditions or night photography without using a flash.
Fixed aperture
The large f/2.8 aperture provides excellent results in low light conditions. The aperture remains constant through the full focal length range, allowing you to zoom from approximately 27-88mm (35 mm equivalent) without slowing shutter speed.
Pleasing background blur
A circular aperture provides a pleasing background blur when shooting with a wide aperture; ideal for creating a sense of depth and isolating your subject from the background.
Image Stabilizer
The EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8 IS USM features Canon’s 3-stop Image Stabilizer (IS). Ideal for handheld work, IS allows the use of shutter speeds up to 3 stops slower then normal with no perceptible increase in image blur. The IS function helps with low light conditions, fast-paced scenes and shooting from moving vehicles.

Please note, for next-day shipping options the product must show in stock in the product status and be before the cut-off period. If the product does not show in stock most items will give an approximate lead time.
Collection
Free Collection is available at our showroom in Hampton, please select this option at the payment stage at the checkout. Please allow one hour to pick and prepare your order for you so it is ready for you when you arrive. Collections must be made at our office during the hours of 9 am to 5:30 pm (Mon to Thurs) and 9 am to 5 pm (Friday).
Standard Delivery
Standard delivery costs £5.99 including VAT and will be sent out by Royal Mail or APC, this service can take 3-5 working days.
FREE UK Delivery On Orders Over £250
We offer FREE standard delivery on all orders over £250 Ex VAT to the UK mainland. Mon-Fri working days only. Saturday deliveries are not guaranteed.
Next Working Day Delivery
UK mainland orders placed before 2 pm will be dispatched the same day for next-day delivery. To qualify for next-day delivery orders must be placed before 2 pm Mon – Thur. Orders placed after 2 pm Thursday will be dispatched Friday for Monday delivery, excluding Bank Holidays. The charge for this service is £12.00 plus VAT. This service is only available for products that are in stock.
Saturday Delivery
Order before 2pm on Friday for Saturday deliveries. Saturday delivery cost £27.50 including VAT – this is only for the UK mainland.
