Panasonic Lumix S 24-105mm F4 Macro O.I.S. Lens (S-R24105E) is a full frame zoom lens for Panasonic’s professional mirrorless camera systems, L-mount. It covers the wide focal length range of 24mm at wide-angle and 105mm at mid-telephoto. It offers a maximum magnification of 0.5x and a minimum focusing distance of 0.3m. This lens is ideal for a wide range of photographic opportunities, such as vast landscapes, beautiful flowers and plants, stunning portraits, and a wide variety of macro photography with a half-life size (0.5:1) magnification and 0.30m close focus ability. The 24-105mm macro zoom offers a constant f/4 maximum aperture and maintains consistent illumination throughout the zoom range. The optical design consists of 16 elements in 13 groups (2 aspherical ED lenses, 2 aspherical lenses, 1 UED lens, and 2 ED lenses). The four aspherical elements, including two made from extra-low dispersion glass, help to minimise distortions and spherical aberrations throughout the zoom range to retain maximum edge-to-edge sharpness and reduced vignetting. One ultra extra-low dispersion element and two extra-low dispersion elements greatly reduce chromatic aberrations and colour fringing producing a high degree of clarity and colour accuracy.

The Macro design provides a life-size magnification ratio and a minimum focusing distance of 0.30m (11.8″) for working with close-up subjects. The Optical Image Stabilisation minimises the camera shake, and the lens supports 5-Axis Dual I.S. 2 for maximum stabilisation performance. The AF/MF switch allows quick changes between focusing modes. The zoom lock switch prevents the lens from extending when engaged for transportation, such as in the camera bag.
