Description
RODE VideoMic Pro+ Premium On-camera Microphone (RODE-VMP+) – is a premium on-camera video shotgun microphone, designed for use with DSLR’s, camcorders and portable audio recorders.
Featuring a two stage high pass filter, output level control and high frequency shelf at the back of the microphone, as well as a detachable output cable and locking 3.5mm to 3.5mm jack plug to allow the RODE VideoMic Pro+ to connect to smartphones.
The microfibre flocked windshield provides protection from wind noise while eliminating the need for a deadcat and the microphone can be powered by AA batteries, so it’s simpler than ever to achieve brilliant sounding audio.
As well AA battery compatibility, the RODE VideoMic Pro+ includes a USB rechargeable LB1 Lithium-Ion battery that provides up to 100 hours run time.
When used with on camera plug-in power, the VideoMic Pro+ will power itself on and off automatically when the camera is turned on and off or when the 3.5mm jack is disconnected.
Still with the best-in-class Rycote Lyre suspension system onboard, the VideoMic Pro+ improves on the existing VideoMic Pro capsule/line tube and windshield, plus boasts a host of new features.
Automatic Power Function (with plug-in power availability) is perfect for the run-and-gun shooter, automatically turning the microphone off when unplugged from the camera.
Built-in Battery Door makes replacing the battery a breeze – plus it won’t get lost.
Power options the VideoMic Pro+ can be powered by the all-new and included RØDE LB-1 Lithium-Ion Rechargeable Battery, 2 x AA Batteries or continuously via Micro USB.
Digital Switching – will ensure the user has ultimate capture of the audio signal at the source, reducing post production and editing times.
The Digital Switching includes:
- 2-Stage High Pass Filter to reduce low frequencies such as rumble from traffic or air conditioning
- 3-Stage Gain Control, with +20dB function – designed to improve audio quality on DSLR or mirrorless cameras
- High Frequency Boost will boost high frequencies enhancing detail and clarity in the recording
- Safety Channel to help ensure the signal does not clip when unexpected spikes occur

Please note, for next-day shipping options the product must show in stock in the product status and be before the cut-off period. If the product does not show in stock most items will give an approximate lead time.
Collection
Free Collection is available at our showroom in Hampton, please select this option at the payment stage at the checkout. Please allow one hour to pick and prepare your order for you so it is ready for you when you arrive. Collections must be made at our office during the hours of 9 am to 5:30 pm (Mon to Thurs) and 9 am to 5 pm (Friday).
Standard Delivery
Standard delivery costs £5.99 including VAT and will be sent out by Royal Mail or APC, this service can take 3-5 working days.
FREE UK Delivery On Orders Over £250
We offer FREE standard delivery on all orders over £250 Ex VAT to the UK mainland. Mon-Fri working days only. Saturday deliveries are not guaranteed.
Next Working Day Delivery
UK mainland orders placed before 2 pm will be dispatched the same day for next-day delivery. To qualify for next-day delivery orders must be placed before 2 pm Mon – Thur. Orders placed after 2 pm Thursday will be dispatched Friday for Monday delivery, excluding Bank Holidays. The charge for this service is £12.00 plus VAT. This service is only available for products that are in stock.
Saturday Delivery
Order before 2pm on Friday for Saturday deliveries. Saturday delivery cost £27.50 including VAT – this is only for the UK mainland.
